Portfolio Work

Schlotzsky's - Mountains of Flavor

I served as a VFX Supervisor and compositing artist for this production. I worked on set behind (and sometimes in front of) the camera to make sure that all the blue-screen footage captured was quality and sufficient to use in VFX post production.

Concrete Jungle

This series of work is inspired by the vaporwave aesthetic and abandoned man-made structures. The environment was created and rendered using Blender 3D.

Interdimensional Subway

A capstone project of mine that showcases 5 different experimental environments created in Unreal Engine 5. Modeling, texturing, shading, and lighting all done by me.

Harbor Picture Company Collaboration- Alien Man
This project was a team effort mentored by the fantastic artists at Harbor Picture Company. Our goal was to create a showcase for a bottle of the cologne Alien Man by Mugler. I was responsible for the modeling of the bottle as well as cinematography, lighting and compositing. To achieve the beautiful glass shader, we had to combine both rendered assets from Lumen and Path Tracer. The surrounding environment was rendered in Lumen, while the bottle was rendered with Path Tracing.
PHOTOTAXIS

A collaborative effort with filmmaker Nathan Zuniga to bring his narrative film to life. With compositing through Nuke, I was able to enhance the atmosphere of the short film, and make his vision a reality.

Ode to Men
This project shows off my skills doing animation and 2D work in Adobe After Effects. The audio used is a reading of the poem Prologue by Dylan Thomas featured in the video Music Documentary (2022) by my favorite band, Men I Trust.
Slender Alley

A live-action integration I made of the Slenderman character using footage I shot in my back alley. Rendered in Arnold and composited in NukeX.

DREAMSCAPES
A collaborative effort with filmmaker Nathan Zuniga to create a short film that expresses a variety of emotions through surreal imagery and liminal spaces.
Liminal Garden
This is my first project created in Unreal Engine 5! My goal was to create a beautiful aquatic garden space complete with water caustics. The base geometry was created in Maya and then imported into UE5 to do texturing, shading and lighting. Plant assets were provided by Team Quixel.
Match to Live Action Bowl
One of my first attempts of a match to live action- using my own photography, I modeled and shaded a digital replica of a ceramic bowl I owned. Using 3D HDRI information and lighting techniques, I attempted to match the digital bowl as best as possible with the real-life bowl to make them as indistinguishable as possible.
